Together, let's protect vulnerable animals
Supporting and upholding animal rights, welfare and services

Animal rights are that animals have fundamental rights to be free from torture without being used, exploited or otherwise interfered with by humans.

Animal welfare means the state of an animal, both physically and mentally, concerning its living conditions. This includes whether the animal is healthy, well-nourished, comfortable, safe, free from distress, and able to express appropriate and natural behaviours freely.

Animal services provide medical care, shelter, nourishment and a safe environment for vulnerable animals.

How can I help animals?

This is a great start! By selecting a recipient on Giveabl that supports animals, you provide much-needed funds to organisations that advocate for animal rights, welfare and services. If possible, you may also like to consider donating some of your time or skills to animal welfare, rights and conservation services.

Why should I donate to support animals causes?

Animals are an essential part of our ecosystem. Without them, humanity cannot thrive or survive for long. Sadly, due to human interruption, natural disasters and fatal diseases, some species are now vulnerable, endangered, critically endangered or extinct in the wild.

Helping animals is critical for our survival and necessary to stop the loss of more species in the future.

How could my donation help animals?

Donations to animal-related recipients help by providing crucial funds to develop, implement and maintain life-saving projects and causes. Your donations will also allow particular recipients to fight for the legal rights of animals and bring to justice any perpetrators.

Funds can also be used to educate members of the public on how to care for animals and how to participate in wildlife conservation.

How do I know my donation is going to help animals?

This is an important question and something that should be considered for all recipients, not just animal-related ones. All charities have administration costs; they are simply expenses that cannot be avoided. The percentage of the charities' income spent on these administration costs is essential. Due to the varying types of charities and their functions, there is no one-size-fits-all percentage for the amount of the administration fees to be deemed reasonable. With that being said, reputable charities are required to publish their financials. This will allow you to take a look for yourself and ascertain if you feel the administration costs are reasonable or not.

How else can I support charities and nonprofits that focus on animals, aside from donations?

There are a number of ways to support charities and nonprofits that focus on animals, aside from donations. You can volunteer your time to help care for animals, foster animals in need, or provide a temporary home for an animal in need. You can also spread the word about the good work these organizations do and encourage others to support them.

Protect our magnificent creatures, big and small

The amazing animals of the world need our support to protect them and their habitats. Give to charities, nonprofits and social enterprises via Giveabl's API and plugins to help them undertake this vital work.
