Why charitable support for Albania is important

There are many reasons why charitable support for Albania is important. First and foremost, some Albanian citizens live below the poverty line, which means they may have limited access to education, healthcare and other basic needs.

Albania is a relatively young country. It only became independent from the Ottoman Empire in 1912 and then spent much of the 20th century under communist rule. As a result, it is still developing its infrastructure and institutions. Charitable support can help Albanian organizations to build capacity and improve services.

Three ways you can support Albanian causes
  1. One way you can help support Albania is by making a donation to a local Albanian charity. There are many charities that focus on helping Albanian children and families in need.

  2. You can also help support Albania by taking part in local fundraising events. Many events are organized to raise money for Albanian causes, such as education and health care.

  3. Finally, you can help support Albania simply by spreading the word about the country and its culture. Tell your friends and family about Albania, and share your positive experiences if you have any.

MS Base Foundation
The MSBase Foundation's mission is to provide the MSBase Registry research platform, locallyinstalled data collection tools, and administrative research support to specialist clinics and hospitals to enable collaborative outcomes and epidemiologic research for the benefit of people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neuroimmunological diseases (NIDs) worldwide. During 2020:* MSBase provided freely available dataentry and visualisation software tools (MDS and iMed) and a research registry (the MSBase Registry) to clinicians and researchers participating in the MSBase collaboration with the aim of benefitting clinicians who treat patients in clinic, and their patients. MSBase now supports neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMO/NMOSD) and is soon to launch the new myasthenia gravis (MG) module. * MSBase encouraged and facilitated investigatorinitiated research projects and copublished ten new collaborative peerreviewed research articles in highranking scientific journals.* MSBase provided an opportunity for participating physicians and researchers to contribute to the scientific leadership of the organisation and supported young medical scientists in the area of neuroimmunology by providing a fellowship award.
